BCM Wins IAC Award for Outstanding Social Media Campaign
Beeby Clark+Meyler’s Playtex Baby Social Voice entry won the Outstanding Social Media campaign award in the 2014 Internet Advertising Competition.
The “Find Your Voice Contest” developed by Beeby Clark+Meyler for client Music & Arts, has moved into the voting phase, where a winner will be crowned.
Hundreds of teens from around the country submitted videos of themselves playing and singing along to popular featured songs. Preliminary judging evaluated the entries based on artistry, technicality, stage presence, and production value. Now Music & Arts fans will determine the winner by voting on their favorite out of the six finalists. The Facebook promotion features teen singer Greyson Chance, and the winner will get to meet the young pop star in person. The grand prize also includes a free instrument from Music & Arts as well as a full year of music lessons. Children between the ages of 13 and 17 were invited to participate in the contest.
The “Find Your Voice” promotion gives entrants a chance to get noticed in a similar fashion as Greyson Chance did—the viral star’s career took off after a video of him playing a Lady Gaga song at a school talent show became popular online. Music & Arts is the largest retail music chain of band and orchestra instruments. The “Find Your Voice” promotion has enabled Music & Arts to attain over 100,000 likes on their Facebook page by engaging young musicians in a meaningful way.
